We’ve all seen photos of the Grand Canyon, but I’ll bet you’ve never seen one like this. Last year, Travis Roe captured this image of a lightning bolt striking the rim of the Grand Canyon. Roe submitted the image to the U.S. Department of Interior who released the image. It has become one of their most viewed and liked photos of all time:
The lightning adds a beautiful and almost surreal lighting to the image giving a fresh perspective on an otherwise over-photograph landmark.
