Since arriving in Saturn’s orbit in 2004, the Cassini space probe has been sending incredible, breathtaking images back to us, providing detailed information about the planet that had previously been a mystery. Here’s a spectacular collection of some of Cassini’s best photographs which showcase Saturn’s beautiful trademark rings and unique moons:
The album consists of some great shots of Saturn’s sixth-largest moon, Enceladus which is covered in ice, as well as it’s largest moon, Titan and many that feature the planet’s beautiful rings. One image, where Saturn passes in front of the sun, alone combines 165 images taken over three hours.
