The tragic death of Chris Guerra, 29, a paparazzo following Justin Bieber’s Ferrari has reignited the conflict between celebrities and the media. The young aspiring paparazzo wanted to catch a shot of Justin Bieber getting a ticket. When the police stopped the Ferrari for speeding, Chris ran through Los Angeles traffic to get on the other side of a freeway and hopefully get a better view of the incident. Police officers had to ask him twice to get back to his car. When he finally did run back, he was hit by an SUV. It turns out that Justin Bieber wasn’t even in the car:
Not long after the incident, Justin Bieber issued a statement saying, “Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation.” Miley Cyrus similarly tweeted “Hope this paparazzi/JB accident brings on some changes in ’13. Paparazzi are dangerous! Wasn’t Princess Di enough of a wake up call?!”
Earlier this year, a group of paparazzi chased Bieber in separate vehicles down a freeway, whizzing past a Los Angeles city councilman, Dennis Zine, a reservist on the LAPD.
“He was coming up behind me, making abrupt lane changes, not giving signals, cutting off cars,” Zine said. The photographers were keeping up with Bieber, thick on his heels.
The lawmaker, known for supporting tough measures against obnoxious paparazzi behavior, alerted the highway patrol, who ticketed Bieber for speeding (CNN).
A photographer was slapped with criminal charges, including reckless driving.

Justin’s call for “meaningful legislaton” is a typical liberal response to every problem in the World. He is just old enough to be able to repeat the mantra. This dead photographer was behaving like a fool and paid the price of his life for his stupid actions. What ever happened to you make your own decisions and you live (or in this case, die) with them?
Why is a non-US Citizen trying to influence the laws of the US anyway? He needs our market to maintain his fame and fortune, otherwise he would not be in the US so much of the time, but he is a guest here and should behave appropriately. Gracious guests should either keep their opinions about their hosts abodes to a minimum or consider returning to their own homes. I can only hope Pearce Morgan reads this.
