Interesting Photo of the Day: Tower of Pallets Bonfire

Many good photographs owe a lot of their greatness to their photographers being in the right place at the right time. For example, had the photographer of this image been somewhere else—like in the crowd of people about to be sprayed with flaming chunks of wood as the pallets crash into the ground—we would never have been able to witness this event:

The bonfire was a part of an annual mid-summer Scandinavian tradition called Sankthans. Good to see the photographer played it smart and kept a safe distance from the monumental bonfire.
