Sometimes we humans think of ourselves as alone in the universe—there’s no one and nothing else that feels the way we do. Funny thing is, it’s a lot less true than we think. Check out this album of “family portraits” and see if it doesn’t pull on your heartstrings a little:
Most of us who live closely with animals know intrinsically that animals have emotions that are possibly as complex and varied as human emotions. Albums such as the one above give a photographic voice to that inner knowledge, reminding us that we’re not the only ones who feel love, joy, sadness, grief, and familial connection.
What do you think? Do these photos reveal true family connection or are they taken in such a way to encourage us humans to read that into the photos?

These are truly beautiful on many levels -well done indeed!!! Did you make a book of these? What’s it called, and where can we buy it? Thank you for sharing this delightful work. I can’t imagine how difficult it was to get these shots, as most animals do not cooperate well,One would have to be around them a great deal and taking masses of photos to hit it right, else if one was to try to set it up, well, extremely difficult!
