Often we come across landscapes that truly take our breath away. They can be so beautiful that they sometimes leave us questioning whether they’re real or something out of fantasy. Spending time in such beautiful locations can be a great experience for someone looking to take a break and spiritually heal. India is one of those places, and photographer Vijay Sarathy shares a glimpse of what you can expect there with this mesmerizing photograph.
Sarathy shot the image with the Fuji X100F, near Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh, India.
The name “dharamshala” literally translates to a shelter or rest house for spiritual pilgrims. And after evaluating this image, it’s not hard to understand the name. Everything in this image appears pure, soothing and perfect.
While the view in itself is stunning, the Sarathy’s composition is worth noting. The foreground, mid-ground and background elements are all perfectly balanced. The small body of water in the foreground with the reflection of the mountain and the tree is soothing, while the lone tree in the mid-ground gives the feeling of standing there alone amidst the beauty and absorbing all those warm vibes. Finally, the sun-kissed mountain in the background completes the image and gives a hint of what all you can experience there.
The place looks so perfect, as if it were imagined in a novel. It makes you wonder if heaven is indeed real. Wouldn’t you love to visit this place?
