There is more to photographing baseball than a telephoto lens and a press pass. Sports photographers have to predict plays and be one step ahead of the players. Boston Red Sox photographer Michael Ivins explains during an interview at his beloved Fenway Park, that the two things that make a sports photograph great are perspective and emotion. And those are two things that are consistently present throughout Ivins’s portfolio.
