Landscape photographers know that patience is key. With the right lighting and at the right moment, even the most boring landscape can look splendid. Photographer Thad Mason managed to take this image of a rainbow breaking in at Rainier National Park while it was raining:
By using the flowers and the trees in the foreground, Mason has framed the rainbow beautifully. It naturally attracts the viewers to the rainbow while adding depth to the image. Furthermore, the spot of sunlight just where the rainbow is formed adds more emphasis.
