Long exposures of burning steel wool aren’t anything new. But Xero Marzilli shot this image with a twist. A model standing under the flying sparks with an umbrella creates fiery raindrops:
It was an awfully cold evening when the shot was made. Eighteen degrees Fahrenheit, to be precise. Not a bad evening to have sparks flying around. If you’re going to try something like this, please follow safety precautions. Make sure you have first aid for burns and wear safety glasses.
