Any time we break our phone’s screen, a feeling of sadness and frustration looms over our minds. To think creatively in such a situation is not something that we usually do in such circumstances. However, photographer Gareth McGorman, who specializes in miniatures, seems to have kept his cool with a broken phone. Just have a look at the following image and you’ll see what we’re talking about:
McGorman took the image with a Canon Rebel T6. The miniatures he used are 1:35 scale models that you can easily find in any hobby shop. He also painted the models by hand for the purpose.
The image is fairly simple; nothing fancy going on here. But the creativity and effort make it stand out. And interestingly, there are a lot of inferences you can draw: for instance, one can imagine that the workers are getting rid of the old broken screen to replace it with a new one, like a renovation. Or maybe they’re jailbreaking the iPhone. Or maybe that’s what data mining looks like. Oh, the puns are endless!
In any case, this is indeed really creative work. What do you have to say of this smashing capture? Let us know in the comments.
