Every summer—for a few weeks, at least—locals and visitors in Águeda, Portugal enjoy a colorful canopy of umbrellas during their strolls through the city. The floating umbrellas have become an annual tradition at the Ágitagueda art festival, a public art installation that provides both some cheerful color and welcome shade from the summer sun:
Veselin Malinov captured the scene with a Canon EOS 550D at f/9 and with a shutter speed of 1/400 of a second. He specializes in street photography, and says of the genre:
“In increasingly hectic and stressful daily life I try to show movement and small details that many of us miss or ignore. I love the risk which, in my opinion, is a premise for the perfect shot!”
