Using different perspectives, or shooting from different angles, allows you to make objects appear bigger or smaller. This technique was used to create this photograph of sand tufa formations near Mono Lake in California:
Although the formations appear to be quite large, they are actually only several inches tall. By getting low to the ground and taking some hand held shots only centimeters away from the formations, Yegor Malinovskii gave the formations somewhat of a false appearance. He shot with a Nikon D800 and used three different frames of varied focus stacked together to create this awesome image.
