The totality of a solar eclipse is an amazing event to witness. Being present at the moment to capture the phenomenon is a big win. Photographer astroguyfornm caught the following image of the July 2, 2019, total solar eclipse from Parque Provincial Bajo de Véliz, Argentina:

The photographer took the image with his Nikon D810 camera body and Sigma 50mm f/1.4 lens. He shot the image at f/4 and ISO 200, bracketing 16 shots taken from 2 seconds to 1/8000 second, all taken with a few seconds of each other.

Although it must’ve been totally dark during totality, bracketing the exposure allowed the photographer to blend the images into this HDR-ish image.
