According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Weather Service, there are around 1,800 thunderstorms at any given time. That’s about 16 million thunderstorms a year! When you hear the word “storm”, you may associate it with lightning and floods. That’s more than enough reason to prepare, but others like Franz Schumacher see it as a prime photo opportunity:
The ominous clouds in the background make for a beautiful, but foreboding accompaniment to the endless rows of straw.
