The Yuanyang Rice Terraces in China are considered one of the must see places in the world. They have become a UNESCO World Heritage site, and depending on the time of day or year, they take on many different stunning looks. French photographer Thierry Bornier fell in love with the area and spends much of his time photographing the beautiful scenery, including this shot at sunset in the rice held terrace in Yunnan:
Bornier started travelling around China photographing the countryside years ago and ended up moving there after falling in love with the many regions and scenery. The self-taught photographer now specializes in Chinese landscapes, and his passion really shows in his work.
As he says, anyone who loves nature should come and discover this land of dream-like allure.
