I think it’s safe to say the majority of people don’t grow up dreaming of what it would be like to live in a van. In fact, many parents use that scenario more as a deterrent than a motivator. However, it was exactly part of filmmaker and photographer Adam Nawrot’s dream:
Nawrot spent a month working on the construction and renovations for his 1997 E-350 van (formerly a NYPD surveillance van). He created his “home” because he hated the idea of paying rent. It’s powered by both solar power and the van’s alternator and allows him to pursue his photography, film making, and adventurous life full time.
