For every photographer—or at least photo enthusiast—out there, there is a person who is neither. If you’re friends with such a fellow, then you may already know how desperately frustrating it feels to be around him when you’re trying to capture photos. In this video, Lok and Kai play a photographer who is passionate about his gear and a friend who is photographically impaired, respectively:
So, how can you really make sparks fly out of your photographer friend’s ears? Try one of these:
How to Irritate a Photographer
1. Tell her how professional her DSLR looks, even if she’s using the cheapest piece of equipment you can find on the market.
2. Remark that his old and trusted film camera (even if it is a classic) looks like a toy!
3. Pose and put on a cheesy grin as soon as she tries to take a candid photo of you. Especially for a photojournalist, this is the ultimate frustration!
4. Compare your smartphone’s megapixels or its ability to shoot 4K with the features on her pro DSLR.
5. Suggest that because his prime lens can’t zoom, it isn’t professional enough!
6. Invite your “dear” photographer friend to your event—with her camera. Or maybe it’s the other way around?
“Would you like to come to my wedding? And you can bring your camera. You just bring your camera and take photos… a few snapshots here and there.”
7. Fiddle with his camera whenever you get the opportunity.
8. Leave greasy fingerprints and stains on her camera lenses and LCD. (If you are a photographer reading this, don’t fret! Just follow the video’s tip at 3:16 to prevent your friends from fiddling with your gear or leaving annoying fingerprints.)
9. Photobomb your friend’s artistic landscape compositions.
10. To top it all, instead of admiring her work and ingenuity, tell her,
“You must have a really expensive camera.”

You forgot one: Tell her that her camera takes really good pictures.
big fun!!! enjoyed!! well done!!
I know this is only a tongue in cheek poke at photographers of any kind BUT it just might get you a punch on the nose if your photographer friend is not in a good mood or doesn’t take kindly to your joshing. :)
Just a side note, Lok is actually a guy, not a girl: “1. Tell her how professional her DSLR looks, even if she’s using the cheapest piece of equipment you can find on the market.” “3. Pose and put on a cheesy grin as soon as she tries to take a candid photo of you. Especially for a photojournalist, this is the ultimate frustration! 4.
