Photographing water is no easy task. It’s hard to control, can be complicated to light, and, in Atlanta based photographer, Alex Koloskov’s case, it tends to be a little bit messy. But don’t let that discourage you from giving it try. In a recent beauty shoot, Koloskov used water to add dramatic interest to the shots, and while trying at times, the shoot went smoothly as everyone took getting wet lightheartedly. The behind the scenes footage shows how Koloskov and his assistants attempted to form a splash of water into a ball, midair:
Ultimately, the water was shaped in post by manipulating many of the frames into one awesome sphere of water. Undoubtedly a time consuming process, but one that was absolutely worth it, as you can see in the finished photograph below.

Is TimR paying for these videos and all the free instruction?
I spent less than 90 seconds fast-forwarding through the video but I liked what I saw.
Personally, I am thankful for any and all the ideas I get from this site.
they didn’t show how they made the water “ball” they only showed how to blast water out of water bottles… waste of my 10 minutes waiting for that magic shot i was expecting in the video that never came :-(
